New entourage 2008 update stops exchange from working

The latest entourage update for office 2008 is causing issues for users connecting to Microsoft exchange. The update removes the ldap settings from the client and as a result there is no connection to exchange. To fix the issue follow the steps listed below.

  1. Click entourage and then account settings
  2. Select your exchange account
  3. Click the advanced tab and under ldap server enter in the details that are listed in the general tab at the bottom of the screen
  4. Click the server requires login check box and then click OK

Entourage can take up to 5 minutes before it will try and access the exchange server using the updated address.
