Outlook 2007 not displaying new email items in inbox or folder

I am coming across this issue where a folder shows the message count, but the actual folder display is showing nothing. If a resort is done by pressing a column heading, the message in the folder then display.

to do with Trust Center Settings and Privacy Options in Word 2007, however this client is running word 2003 therefore option does not exist. I have tried configuring this setting in outlook itself but it made no difference.

Another article http://www.office-outlook.com/outlook-forum/index.php/m/182821/#msg_182821 suggested that for some users a repair of office resolved the issue, but this did not help and its on a fresh server build.

Hopefully its a bug Microsoft will iron out in the next patches.
