Remove Trend Worry Free Business edition without password

On a windows 10 computer reboot into Safe Mode with Networking:

  1. Click the Start button or press the Windows key on the keyboard
  2. Click Power
  3. While holding SHIFT on the keyboard, click Restart
  4. Windows will reboot and prompt with a few different options
  5. Choose Troubleshoot
  6. Choose Advanced Options
  7. Choose Startup Settings
  8. Click Restart
  9. After rebooting, Windows will prompt with several different startup options
  10. Choose Safe Mode with Networking and press Enter
  11. Login as an Administrator on the computer
  12. Run regedit. Go to path in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\TrendMicro\PC-cillinNTCorp\CurrentVersion\Misc
  13. Edit Allow Uninstall and set it to a value of 1
  14. Reboot the computer again to normal mode so the windows installer service is working
  15. From Add/Remove programs in control panel uninstall Trend. It will proceed without prompting for the uninstall password.
