Trend pccillin with outlook sending multiple copies of emails using mail.bigpond.com server

We came across an issue with a client after installing Trend PC-cillin 2009 where when they send messages with large attachments, multiple copies of the attachment would be sent to the recipient causing much grief. The issue appears to be because of a timeout transmitting the large e-mails to the mail.bigpond.com server. This-
