Moving Outlook type-ahead to new computer

The type-ahead address cache in Outlook can be moved from your old computer to your new computer very easily. The file is hidden so turn on View Hidden and System files and remove the check from Hide Extensions for Known File Types.

The file is: C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.nk2
Replace the word USERNAME with the appropriate user folder.

Copy this file to the same place on your new computer and you’re done!

This has been successfully tested migrating the file from Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2007
